Mode Field Adapted Patch Cords
Mode Field Adapted Patch Cords
The Mode Field Adapted Patch Cord joins fibers of different mode field diameters: a small mode field end couples efficiently with planar waveguides, and a thermally expanded core end connects to communication optical fiber with low loss. Single-mode and polarization maintaining versions are available across 1310 to 1625 nm, with the small and large mode field fibers, power handling, package, length and both connectors made to order. The datasheet lists the complete specifications and the ordering information.
Key Features
- Small mode field diameter — couples efficiently with planar waveguides
- Thermally expanded core — connects to communication optical fiber with low loss
