The SH-R401 is a portable heat stripper for specialty and large-diameter optical fibers. It strips longitudinally, fully automatically, using a heated blade driven on a high-precision linear guide, so the fiber is not nicked or scratched during stripping. Heating temperature and heating time are both adjustable, allowing the settings to be matched to different coating types, and the universal holder accepts a wide range of fiber sizes. It is powered by a rechargeable lithium battery, making it suitable for both field and laboratory use.
